Four years ago, we kept hearing the same thing from eye doctors:
“I don’t like my EHR. I spend more time documenting than I spend time with my patients.”
Multiple logins for disconnected tools. Communication in one place, optical orders in another. Notes buried behind ten clicks. Admin work piling up while patient time slips away.
Meanwhile, the rest of healthcare was moving forward.
AI started writing charts faster than humans. Payments got smarter. Patient reminders became automated.
But in eye care?
Still stuck on software that looks and feels like it was made ten years ago.
So we decided to change that.
One login. One system. Built for how eye care actually works.
When we started Barti, the mission was clear: spend more time with patients and less time clicking. That meant less time on admin, fewer systems to manage, fewer clicks to get through a chart, and fewer distractions pulling doctors away from care.
Then things started to change.
Doctors began finishing charts during the visit, thanks to Barti’s AI Scribe.
Phones and texting moved into the platform, making communication easier for both staff and patients.
Payments and billing became simpler—no more chasing down invoices or double entries.
Websites became part of the same system, with one team to manage it all and no more waiting on a third party just to update your hours.
One by one, the extra logins disappeared, replaced by a single, connected system that holds everything in one place.
And for the first time, providers started to say things like:
“I didn’t think EHRs could feel this easy.”
Because this is working. And because we’re just getting started. (Read the full press release here.)
We didn’t add these features because they were flashy. We built them because providers needed them and no one else was offering them in a cohesive, truly modern way.
With this new funding, we can go even further.
Major investments in the product include:
AI is rapidly transforming the entire world and Barti will give you front-row access to the latest models and capabilities. And as always, our product decisions will be based on what we’re hearing from you, the users!
We wouldn’t be here without the trust and support of our customers, advisors, and partners. You’ve challenged us, shaped our roadmap, and rooted for us at every step. If you’re reading this, know that your voice has had a direct impact on what we’ve built and what we’ll build next.
We’re proud of what we’ve done. But we’re way more excited about what comes next. We’re just getting started.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
